What a beautiful corner of the world we live in.
Please allow me to be a bit poetic, as the ferry ride in
this morning bordered on magical. The water was was so smooth it looked as if you could skate on
it; the full moon's reflection in the west, shimmering against
the backdrop of the Southport waterfront, was nothing short of
spectacular. Add the rising of the sun on the east
side of the ferry, and even the passengers were quiet in their
awe. Most amazing was that the moon was floating in
a pink and blue ombre sky, while the sun rose in a purple and
gold ombre sky. We were escorted by seagulls and
pelicans, and they guided us safely to the harbor at Bald Head.
Just gorgeous!
